Hi there! My name is Abby, I am a wife, mother of two boys and a little girl on the way. I love attempting to do just about anything myself, from growing my own food to sewing my own clothes! I live with my family in northwest Oregon, in a sort-of rural area about an hour away from Portland

I started sewing a lot more after my first son was born and I started making wool diaper covers and baby shoes for him, since then, I haven’t stopped. I have been selling my handmade creations for a couple years now on etsy, and have just recently started putting my digital patterns up for sale.

Never being one to stick to the directions, I was constantly changing patterns and adapting my own versions of everything I made. It wasn’t too much of a jump to make my own patterns. I am inspired by stylish, comfortable and practical items that can be made by repurposing and refashioning materials. I don’t believe crafting has to be an extra expense, but it does take some creativity and resourcefulness!

I’m here for others like me, that have a lot ideas but not a big budget to work with. After all, I started out with a free pile sewing machine, with only one stitch. In fact, that is what I used until I was able to buy something better from what I made selling my upcycled handmade items. With a little hard work, you can even turn your hobbies into a source of income! All of my patterns and tutorials are either designed for using repurposed materials or are easily adaptable.

You can look forward to my sharing many free patterns and tutorials, as well as my thoughts on life, parenting, health, and I’m sure much more!
